Tec-Site Magnetic Rotor Level Indicators

Tec-Site - The system and how it works

The Tec-Site measuring system is essentially based on three main components.

 Tec Site Drawing 1

As Illustrated (see Fig 1.), the float chamber is attached to the vessel (via the process connections) that contains the process liquid to be measured.  The float which has an inbuilt magnet is housed in the float chamber and rides on the surface of the process liquid as it rises and falls.

The indication rail is a series of polycarbonate blocks (or aluminium) coloured red on one side and white on the other. Each has a magnet embedded within and as the float moves, its magnet causes the blocks to rotate 180 degrees. As the float rises the blocks rotate to show their red side and thus indicate the level of the liquid in the vessel.
