Tec-SiteReg Magnetic Rotor Level Indicator - How It Works
  • The Tec-Site measuring system is essentially based on three main components
  1. The float chamber
  2. The float
  3. The indication rail containing a series of rotors
  • As the side-view illustration shows, the float chamber is connected to the vessel to be measured. The float which has an in-built magnet is housed in the float chamber and rises and falls with changes in the liquid level. As it moves it influences the magnetised rotors and "flips" them over. They are red on one side, white on the other. The dynamic images show the effect.
  • We can attach magnetically driven electrical switches to the outside of the float tube to drive all manner of alarms, valves, pumps etc.
  • Also, we can attach 4-20 mA transmitters for remote display or other purposes.
  • Switches and transmitters can be attached after installation of the Tec-Site on the vessel.
